Final Fantasy VIII Patches

nVidia GeForce owners should download the GeForce patch. The other patch does not correct the graphic problems experienced when using a GeForce card together with version 1.0 of FF8. The GeForce patch contains all the changes, you should not download the normal patch.

• FF8 1.2 Patch for GeForce Users (9.5 MB)
• FF8 1.2 Patch for Non-GeForce Users (9.5 MB)

Unzip the files in the ZIP file to the folder where your game is installed. For the FF8 patches, you also should run EAXUnified.exe if you are getting an error message about a missing EAX.dll file. If you wish to be able to revert back to your previous game version after patching, you should back up the files before you replace them.
