This page is not needed much yet, but it will be as the Final Fantasy VIII Configurator ver. 2 is much more complex.  This page will be updated soon.  For now, a screenshot have to suffice:

Version 1 of the configurator program basically writes a value down to the "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Square Soft, Inc\FINAL FANTASY VIII\1.00\MIDIGUID" key in the registry.  The value is retrieved from DirectMusic.  For more information just have a look on the source code (click the button on the about page).  All programs created for this project will always be open-source.
